Audelia Community Response Team (ACRT) Secures No-cost COVID Testing for the Langley/Takoma Park Community.

Community testing will be open to all regardless of legal status.

LANGLEY PARK, Maryland – October 13 – Adventist Health Care Urgent Care – is not a community testing site, but has been the only viable option for testing in Langley Park, MD. Unfortunately for many of our undocumented, uninsured and unemployed community members an out-of-pocket expense of $125 dollars is unattainable.

ACRT identified the many barriers to testing in the community and recognized the need for a no-cost, easy to access bilingual testing center to help stop community transmission.

Thanks to the support of Delegate Lorig Charkoudian, and Pastor Don McFarlane of Sligo Seventh-day Adventist Church, the ACRT team was able to connect with Takoma Academy Preparatory School and work together to bring this free testing site for our community.

For the past two months members of the ACRT team have been training tirelessly alongside Meduni and AllCare physicians to begin testing.

Finally, starting October 13, community members will be able to make a telehealth appointment through the ACRT hotline (240-621-0762) which provides assistance in Spanish and English, or online. They will have a no-cost telehealth appointment with a doctor from All Care Urgent Care, and from there set up an appointment at our testing site which will offer walk thru as well as drive thru testing.

DISCLAIMER: This is not a government testing site, it is a community established testing site that’s open to all members regardless of legal status. All patient information will be kept confidential, and be used solely for testing purposes in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
